The Foundation

Dear fellow Citizens of Vestavia Hills:

As President of The Vestavia Hills Police Foundation, Inc. a 501c3 charitable organization, I wanted you to know that our Foundation is comprised of Directors from our community who are all volunteers and who understand that, to keep our city safe and a great place to live, work or visit, that goal starts with having a first-class Police Department.

Many people either forget or overlook the fact that the brave men and women who step up to become a law enforcement officer are the most highly trained, the most overly criticized and underappreciated, underpaid professionals out there who are willing to put their very lives at risk every single day of the year to serve and protect our entire community. 

And these men and women who are our Vestavia Hills Police Officers are people first: they have mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, wives, husbands and children, and to risk everything they have- yes, to the point of possibly losing their very life – every day of the year for all the rest of us, is nothing short of extraordinary public service.

Our Foundation is committed to promoting a positive working relationship between our residents of Vestavia Hills and our Police Department.  We can only do that by gaining continued involvement and donations from individuals and businesses in our community who understand the high value in keeping Vestavia Hills a great place to live and work by providing the non-budgeted equipment, training, technology, and programs that our Police Department needs to protect and serve our entire community.

We do this by facilitating special events, fostering better communication, greater cooperation and unshakable trust between our citizens, guests, and our Police Department, all of which is done to sustain and bolster the quality of life for everyone who lives, works or visits our great community.

And that’s how you can make a significant difference in helping us meet our goals for our Police Department, its Officers and Personnel and the City of Vestavia at large by considering making a charitable, tax-deductible donation to our Foundation. Every dollar we generate is earmarked for the support and wellbeing of our Vestavia Hills Police Department and its Officers, Personnel and their families, and I hope you will recognize that your contribution is truly an investment in Vestavia Hills, one of the finest and safest communities to live, work and visit in Alabama.
